For art buyers, publishers, and creative directors looking through my work, this project highlights my skill in transforming complex mechanical ideas into clear, kid-friendly visual narratives. As the sole illustrator for this revamped edition, my goal was to inject a modern energy into the pages while ensuring every piece of machinery, transport system, and vehicle was highly recognizable and engaging.
About the Book
Aimed at curious children aged 5 to 8, I Wonder Why: Planes Have Wings feeds a child's natural desire to understand how things move, float, and fly. The book answers fundamental questions about transport and mechanics using conversational, bite-sized facts that are perfect for reading aloud.
Throughout the beautifully formatted pages, my bright illustrations bring a diverse world of vehicles to life, answering curious questions like:
Why do planes have wings?
Which is the fastest car?
Can trains float?
